7Multiple Vehicle Crash Involving Garbage Truck Injures Four People

A recent vehicle accident sent four people to the hospital, one in critical condition. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 in Charlotte, near the Beatties Ford exit 37. All southbound lanes of I-85 were shut down for a time immediately following the crash. The accident involved several vehicles, along with a garbage truck. The accident appeared to be extremely serious, leaving one vehicle overturned and another that hit a tree.

The details of what caused this crash have not been released. Three passenger vehicles, along with a large garbage truck, were all part of the accident. One vehicle left the roadway and flipped upside down. Another vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree. Medical personnel were called to the scene and began treating victims. Four victims were transported to the hospital, with at least one of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.
